My Experience in Photography with my 35mm and Digital Camera

I first began taking pictures with my 1965 model Polaroid camera. I could not adjust for brightness, sharpness, or motion. I could only take 10 pictures or less and the camera didn’t provide for a negative. Along came the 35mmcamera. I was stationed in Germany and one day my brother in-law surprised me with at gift. The gift was a 35mm camera which included a nice lens and carrying case.

I didn’t use the camera for a few years until I met a good friend of mine who was in the military at the time. I was invited to my friend’s home one day and I noticed these beautiful photographs on his hallway wall. One of the pictures was a beautiful sunset over the downtown marina in my town. One of the other pictures was of a red, full of shiny chrome, 1957 Chevrolet. I asked him about the pictures and he explained that he took the photographs with a 35mm camera. He became interested in photography and took a couple of Jr. College courses in photography. The photographs displayed on his walls were awesome. He actually presented me with an enlarged framed photograph of the 1957 Chevrolet. I was hooked! I wanted to take beautiful photographs like his.

I dug my camera out of storage and pulled out the instruction booklet. I read the booklet and learned how to operate the camera. I asked those in the know as many questions as possible to learn as much as I could. I began taking some good quality photographs of everything. My favorite pictures were of beautiful flowers. I was amazed at the vibrant colors of the flowers. I even began enlarging and framing the photographs which later adorned my walls.

Later I purchased a 5 megapixel digital camera. I was so happy and excited that I was bursting with happiness. The point and shoot ability, seeing what I am photographing through the LCD window and the different options available (e.g., flowers, motion, video with sound, close-ups etc.). The prospect of what I could do with the camera was unbelievable. One of my favorite photographs was taken on our city marina at mid day. The water was so calm and the reflection of the boats on the water was clear. The snow capped mountains and the blue sky was the background of my photo. I took the shot with my automatic digital camera. I didn’t have to make any adjustments, which I loved. Later that evening I uploaded the picture to my computer and it was breathtaking. I then uploaded the image to an online picture processing company and requested a 2 foot by 2 foot blowup of the picture. I received the picture in the mail and held my breath while I peeled the wrapper off. I was pleasantly surprised at how the picture looked. It was beautiful. I purchased a frame for the picture and hung it on my home office wall. I was a novice but I felt like a professional with the output from the digital camera.

My digital camera is a must in this day and age and provides me with an enormous amount of happiness and satisfaction. I like everything about digital cameras especially not having to purchase film, and the ease of operation.  http://www.myonlineelectronicsmediastore.com/
