Most photo printers use ink cartridges with four colors: cyan, magenta black and yellow. However, keep in mind that certain add light cyan and light magenta, and few, even add red and blue. Moreover, Some photo printers offer variations of black and gray inks, which is a great feature for those interested in black-and-white photography.
The speed at which the function photo printers can vary by manufacturer and model, but for most, the quality of results will the same. Needless to say, speed is still measured in pages per minute (ppm), as it is with all other printers.
