Photography lighting help?
Can someone please tell me how strobes work in studio photography. Really I want to learn basic setup studio lighting, but I'm totally clueless about this issue. What are these lights connected an umbrella or light boxes? are the lights to illuminate the subject or who also work as a flash? need u To use the flash when using the lights? Im watching videos of photography study and I am very confused when the flash is coming, I mean, where do u position the flash? I see radio transmitter connected to the camera to fire the flash, but I can not find where the flash is coming. Correct me if im wrong, but I think the flash is coming from an umbrella or soft box, but how does that work? Is there a separate Flash and separate the light to illuminate the subject in a single electronic flash unit? I am very confused, I really appreciate the help, thanks!
Studio lights can be of two types – so-called "hot" lights are lit continuously, or studio strobes are flashes that come out only when you press the shutter.
