Art, Photography and Reproduction
It's nothing new. Commercialism perhaps a little more aggressive now than at the time of Rembrandt, but studies of his time were so equal that specializes in producing the same table several times, a limited edition digitally enhanced gender today.
The question that arises is that as technology advances apace Where is the "line drawn" between what might be described as a preparation of artists and that is computer generated origination? More specifically does it matter?
One might argue that artists have always sought to improve their work and the use of technology today is not different from the past. The fact is that what can be achieved today is far greater than anyone could imagine 20 years ago.
In fact, it comes down to how to define what is art and what constitutes a preparation of the artists.
Design and scale tripods Camera Obscura through were commonly used in the works of many of the "masters", so why use Photoshop seen differently.
Photography and art are like two cousins, related disciplines. But that ignores the fact that the painting was the "picture" of your day. Royal Courts send ambassadors with realistic miniature portraits of potential suitors, in the same way as a portfolio of photo capture lines and cheekbones a modeling agency.
People often forget where they have "come from 'and this is also true of all types of art, including the abstract art and contemporary art. It was like a lot of advertising, marketing and politics as beauty or ability of its creator.
For me, the use of any technique or process for the artist must be seen as part of the work and methodology. Undoubtedly, the point is this. It is the technique or process that is important is how to use them. There is indeed an area separate from all the creativity here.
A good artist always try something new. It is based on the techniques and use them to 'create' and while a purist disagree, do so in ignorance of the past.
