What are the restricted / allowed file names for PC?
Hi, I'm a Mac user, however, I work in a place that uses a network Large PC. Part of my job is to digital photography. I take the photos and then take home to edit on my computer. At first I had enough problems with what the edited photos to my work PC. Often, files that are copied to a CD just do not appear on the PC. I discovered this because my Mac allows me to use almost all characters in (#,./?) names etc have basically solved the problem using only actual letters of the names, but for organizational reasons, it would be good to use some punctuation marks. What are universally ok? Thanks
File names can not contain the following characters: /: *? "<> |.
