Did you know that the treasure hunts can be built around a large number of subjects, with teams collecting everything from odd parts and exceptional and everyday household items, with a deadline for making things more difficult. But a photo scavenger hunt with a Christmas theme adds a slight twist to the original game, which puts a little more fun in the activity.
When you organize a hunt based on photos get specific locations and landmarks with a holiday theme, of course you have a winner based on the images obtained. But you may be able to add special awards for outstanding images that evoke the theme of Christmas – the house and decorating business, churches etc. This may be the added incentive the group needs to become very enthusiastic about the game.
This type of hunting should no longer be a problem with the advent of mobile phones with camera. You can easily launch a hunt these days as almost everyone has one.
* For a special twist, consider taking photos of weird or unusual items that appear only around the Christmas season. Make prints of them and then challenge the teams to find the exact object. This may take more time so you'll need to provide a lot of time. But turning the idea of a photo scavenger hunt may increase competition to an entirely new level.
Do not hesitate to organize a hunt outside unless the weather is just too awful. If it is, a hunt in a home is still a possibility. If the owner is not directly involved, teams of friends can have fun finding ornaments specific red and green items, etc. Use your imagination and have fun with Christmas.
