When we discuss the question of art, we enter a vast and complicated arena of interpretation. Art as any other disciple and gives us great pleasure to act as agent for harmony, order, serenity and peace. However, each person (and rightly) has its own feeling about what harmony, order, serenity and peace.

The starting point for understanding art has a matrix in two distinct areas: 1 individual, 2, society in general. I will briefly two points.

In dealing Art of the principal agent is the individual. This is true both in the creation of art and appreciation of it. People participate to art because it gives meaning to their lives and thoughts. Often a person will want to write a story or a painting to express their feelings about a certain subject. The fact is that each of us are trying to communicate to society at large and we choose to use art as the agent for that.

From a societal perspective, we have to leave the field of personal feeling and expression and enter in the effects of  "science" of art with society. The point here is that person who creates the art is able to know what impact will this art will be on the other. Just as an architect does not know how music can be heard when the concert hall is completed. The proof comes in the evening Opening the concert where the audience can test the sound. Similarly, when one reads a poem by Poe and display an image of Leonardo what we see is different whether the artist had in mind, especially with the passage of time. For this reason, to obtain the highest value in assessing of art that you have to study it to see it in context and then put you in contact. With this, you will have a deeper and richer art and yourself.
