Photography 101

Part

Equipment: camera, meter, flash, tripod

This article is a course designed to simplify photography from new photographers out there who want to know where to start.

If you really want to learn photography the first thing you need is a good camera affordable and reliable. It is necessary, I repeat, must be able to take full and complete manual modes autofocus. (This leaves out any digital camera on the market right now, sorry.) To really learn photography team must be understood. You have to learn how manipulating the shutter speed, aperture, and the approach will have an effect dramatic in your photos. Meters, if you have a camera that can operate in full manual mode, it must have an internal counter to what is appropriate will do. Tripod, you'll need a portrait or landscape, you need one eventually. Fortunately, you do not spend a lot here. Just something lightweight and durable. Flash, you can buy a separate camera mounted flash, which is great if you can afford. Consider what type of photography makes it good. If you do mostly nature and landscape, you need that may fill flash that comes with most cameras today. If you plan to do the photo you just consider a camera mounted flash that has an adjustable angle.

Film, film speed to be correct. Lower speeds (25 to 400) are intended for portrait photography and landscape. Faster speeds (600 +) are intended for actions conducted and photojournalism. So, you must first know what you want to photograph and make sure the film for the job.

Now that you have a camera loaded with film tells the shutter speed. Would you complete the motion blur or freeze? If no motion that All shutter speeds needed to expose the scene with natural light. Of 1/60th and bottom of the bulb setting lower motion. For example, to evacuate the water in a waterfall, a setting of 1/30th should work. (You will need a tripod, though.) 1/125th is a normal value for most shots. In many devices 125 ยบ environment is marked by a different color to make it obvious. If you want to freeze the action you need to start with 1/500th and work from there. The faster you move faster shutter speeds necessary to stop the movement. Many cameras go up to 1/2000th of a second. If you try to use only natural light in a scene that we want to determine the opening and then see what shutter speed to correctly expose a scene of light available. (Note there is sometimes not enough light.)

new photography business

Aperture, these are all issues in the target closest to the camera. They can range from 1.8 to 22 and are regarded as diaphragms. These numbers determine the amount of light reaching the film inside camera. Most internal meters will blink on the appropriate aperture for the shutter speed you set, or the speed you set flashes if the F-stop is correct for speed. Both F, stop and shutter speed can be changed to correctly expose the scene. Note that the higher the speed shutter of the light will be needed to properly expose the scene. This is logical if you think about it. If the shutter is not open forever, fast shutter speed, then there is less light able to reach the film and what the scene must be brighter to expose correctly. To learn slice on the ground. Take the first shot in the opening offered by the meter, making a move, take a photo, one down, take a another photo.

Flash, I personally like shooting with natural light whenever possible and use a fill flash. But if you do photography work then most of the time you can be covered and will have a flash sometimes. For fans of fill-in flash units that are in the top of most cameras today are excellent for basic work. You must read the manual for your particular flash, learn what can and can not do. This is where the camera is fully manual and fully automatic ideal for the amateur. In general, you can configure the camera so that the meter and adjust the flash output accordingly and can still control shutter speed and aperture.

This week's assignment: Have several rolls of 400 speed film, find a topic that may be working with preferably something that does not move and shoot a roll of film. Profits roll in the morning, afternoon and evening. Support each take notes during the day and conditions light, and their values (openness) were for each image, the film maintain the same speed for the full deployment. Having film developed and examine photos. You should be able to see a difference in each frame. You must repeat this process until you feel you understand the relationship between shutter speed and aperture, and all cameras and a meter has its own peculiarities and differences, is the camera act differently than someone from the other. This way, you will learn you own particular camera as well. Once you have an idea how the opening should not be placed in each plan holder, you may only need to do in case you want to be sure to explain the subject properly.
